Prescott’s Precision Drives Dallas Victory
Dak Prescott orchestrated a comprehensive offensive display, throwing for 212 yards and three touchdowns while completing 15 of 27 passes to lead the Dallas Cowboys to a 38-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. The win improves Dallas’ record to 3-4, while the Eagles fall to 2-5 in their home opener at Lincoln Financial Field.
Prescott connected with CeeDee Lamb twice for scores, including a 9-yard strike in the first quarter and a 16-yard touchdown pass in the third period that was followed by a two-point conversion run by Prescott himself. The Cowboys’ ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities early defined the contest.
After Brandon Aubrey opened the scoring with a 55-yard field goal, Lamb’s first catch put Dallas ahead 10-7. Later in the half, George Pickens hauled in a 21-yard touchdown pass from Prescott to extend the lead to 17-14 before halftime.
Williams Powers Ground Game
While Prescott handled the passing duties, Javonte Williams dominated on the ground for Dallas. He carried the ball 25 times for 155 yards and scored a crucial 2-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. That score sealed the game, making it 38-21 after Aubrey added another field goal earlier in the period.
Williams’ performance was instrumental in maintaining offensive momentum throughout the night. His ability to gain significant yardage allowed the Cowboys to control the clock and keep the Eagles’ offense off the field. The rushing attack complemented Prescott’s aerial assault perfectly, ensuring that Dallas could respond to every Philadelphia scoring drive.
