Denton’s Cirque du Horror opens to the public Friday, October 23, giving theatergoers four chances to catch the Halloween production over the weekend. Thursday’s gathering is not an extra public show: the festival schedule identifies October 22 as a private friends-and-family dress rehearsal.
The public performances at the Big Top Tent, 301 E. Oak St., are scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., and Sunday at 5 p.m. All times are CDT. Doors open an hour before each performance, according to the organizer’s ticket calendar.
The production mixes songs, poetry and short stories with a spooky theme. Organizers describe it as family-friendly, and the opening-night ticket listing is marked all ages. That gives families an afternoon option on Saturday as well as evening shows.
