Ankle injury has made DJ Lagway's status for Baylor's Week 2 matchup with Prairie View A&M uncertain, with the quarterback expected to miss the game. It is also not clear whether he will be in uniform for the Bears.

Lagway was injured during Baylor's season opener against Auburn, a game in which he produced 333 yards. The ankle issue is now affecting the outlook for the team's next contest, even though his availability has not been definitively settled.

Pete Thamel, identified as a college football insider, reported that Lagway is expected to be unavailable against Prairie View A&M. The report therefore points to a Week 2 absence while leaving open the question of whether Lagway will be dressed for the game. Baylor's meeting with Prairie View A&M is the Bears' Week 2 game, and Lagway's condition is the reason his participation remains uncertain.

The report does not settle that question.
