Jonathan Bullard is projected to miss three to five weeks with a calf injury, while Jalen Thompson is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks because of a hamstring problem. Both injuries occurred during Dallas' first three regular-season games.
The Cowboys' loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Rio also left cornerback Shavon Revel with knee and ankle issues. Brian Schottenheimer said Tuesday that Revel was making progress and might practice this week, leaving open a potential return against Houston in Week 4. Dallas has not confirmed whether he will play.
Bullard missed most of training camp after an earlier injury, and his latest absence is expected to cover multiple games. Thompson could be placed on injured reserve with a designation to return, joining safety P.J. Locke, according to the report.
Cobie Durant is not expected to travel to South Texas while recovering from a hamstring injury. Malik Hooker, who fractured his forearm in the season opener, might need more time, while DeMarvion Overshown could begin practicing after missing two games with a hamstring injury.
Dallas has worked out several players, including former Cowboys safety Juanyeh Thomas, as first-year defensive coordinator Christian Parker prepares for a visit to the winless Texans.
