Jalen Thompson is likely to miss at least four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said. Jones also said Dallas will look for additional help at safety, although no potential players or teams were identified.
Thompson was hurt in Dallas’ 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. The Cowboys nearly sent the game to overtime, but Baltimore connected on a long pass and later kicked the winning field goal. Dallas entered the matchup with a 1-2 record.
The Cowboys had previously allowed the New York Giants to put together a strong offensive showing in Week 1 and surrendered late production to Marcus Mariota in Week 2. Dallas is scheduled to visit the 0-3 Houston Texans next Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
