The Atlantic Coast Conference announced SMU's 2027 football opponents, including home games against Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford. The Mustangs will begin the season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium.
SMU's conference schedule will feature five road games, with trips to Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke. The nine-game ACC slate will be the second played under the league's current system, which requires nine conference games and at least 10 matchups with Power Four opponents each season. The ACC said dates and the complete 2027 schedule are expected in late January.
Rhett Lashlee's Mustangs are 15-2 in ACC competition since he became head coach. They have also won every conference game played at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, and that 15-2 mark leads all ACC programs over the same period. SMU is scheduled to visit Louisville this week to play No. 23 Louisville.
