Ryan Flournoy is expected to remain with the Dallas Cowboys through the 2027 season under a reported one-year extension worth $6 million. The agreement is expected to be signed this week, before Dallas opens its regular season against the New York Giants.
The deal follows what the team called a breakout 2025 season for Flournoy. It gives him additional chances to develop during the 2026 and 2027 seasons, while a longer-term contract could remain possible later. Dallas has also reached a three-year extension agreement with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
Dallas drafted Flournoy in the sixth round in 2024. The team waived him during its initial roster reductions in 2025, but he cleared waivers and eventually rejoined the organization through its practice squad. That move replaced his original four-year rookie contract, leaving him with three years on the new agreement and a potential restricted-free-agent season afterward.
The extension removes that possibility and gives Dallas another season of contractual control.
