TCU expects wide receiver Jordan Dwyer to return from a foot injury for its Sept. 26 Big 12 opener against UCF. He has not played in the Horned Frogs’ first three games of the 2026 season, and his availability remains unconfirmed beyond coach Sonny Dykes’ update.
Dykes said after TCU’s 31-7 win over Arkansas State that he anticipates Dwyer playing in the next game. The coach said having Dwyer back would help the team. TCU enters conference play with a 2-1 record.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and was a major offensive contributor in 2025. He started every regular-season game, recording 54 receptions, 730 yards and seven touchdowns. In his first game with TCU, against North Carolina, he caught nine passes for 136 yards and one touchdown.
With Dwyer sidelined, Ed Small has emerged as one of TCU’s top receivers, while tight end Kari Ashley contributed in the Arkansas State game. Their production has given quarterback Jaden Craig multiple passing options early in the season.
