Marcel Reed has thrown for 738 yards through four games this season, along with six touchdowns and four interceptions. He has completed 55.4% of his passes, the lowest rate of his college career, and has gained 104 yards and scored once on the ground.
Texas A&M coach Mike Elko said Reed will continue at quarterback. Asked if Reed could be benched, Elko replied, "No." The exchange was posted by the TexAgs social media account on X and reported by Yahoo Sports.
Reed completed 10 of 26 attempts for 106 yards against No. 10 LSU, the No. 23 Aggies' latest opponent, and threw an interception. His 38.4% completion mark was described as potentially the lowest of his college career. In the previous season, Reed passed for 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns.
Texas A&M is scheduled to face Arkansas in Week 5 on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. EST. The Razorbacks also are 2-2.
