Kremer leads Twins comeback
Dean Kremer anchored the Minnesota Twins' pitching staff with a seven-inning, one-run performance that helped secure a 6-4 victory over the Texas Rangers at Target Field. The Twins, who improved to a 77-85 record, overcame a significant mid-game deficit to take the win. The Rangers, now 80-82, fell short despite a strong offensive effort from their lineup.
Early Twins lead
Minnesota took an early lead in the first inning when Keaschall scored on a sacrifice fly hit by Bell. The Rangers responded quickly in the third inning. Jansen drove in a run with a home run to left center. Later in the same frame, Bell hit a home run to right field, scoring Keaschall and extending the Twins' lead to 3-1. The Twins continued to build their advantage in the fifth inning. Jenkins scored on a walk by Jeffers, and Keaschall came in on a single by Clemens, pushing the margin to 5-1.
Rangers rally falls short
The Rangers managed to score just one run in the eighth inning, when Díaz hit a home run to left center. However, the Twins added a sixth run in the same inning on a home run by Lewis to center. In the ninth inning, the Rangers scored twice. Seager hit a home run to right center, and Nimmo crossed the plate. Despite this late push, the Rangers could not overcome the earlier deficit. The final score remained 6-4 in favor of Minnesota.
Pitching details
Kremer earned the win, allowing one earned run on three hits over seven innings while striking out four batters. He did not walk a batter. A.J. Minter pitched one inning, allowing one hit and one earned run. Andrew Morris took the final inning, allowing two hits and two earned runs. For Texas, MacKenzie Gore started, pitching two and one-third innings with one hit, one earned run, one walk, and no strikeouts. Chase Silseth took the loss, pitching one-third of an inning with two hits, two earned runs, and one strikeout. Jordan Montgomery pitched two and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and no earned runs while striking out three. Cody Bradford pitched one inning, allowing three hits and one earned run. Robert Garcia, Tyler Alexander, and Jakob Junis also appeared in relief for the Rangers.
