The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.6430, while the national average is $4.0980. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 47 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8930, drivers are paying about 73 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.1580 per gallon, AAA reported.
