Jessie has been waiting since June.
The roughly 6-year-old dog is available for adoption or foster through The Dog Stop in Argyle, a few miles south of Denton, and staff there are hoping someone will give her a home.
"She is such a sweetheart," Katelyn Ware, the location's dog care manager, wrote in an email asking for help finding Jessie a family.
About Jessie
Jessie is spayed, house-trained and vaccinated, according to The Dog Stop. Staff describe her as a dog who needs "gentle encouragement and patience to help her blossom into a confident dog," and say she will be "your best friend & a reliable couch potato."
Adopt or foster
People who can't adopt can still help by fostering: giving Jessie a temporary home while she waits for a permanent one.
