A Lewisville woman has been arrested and charged with trafficking persons as part of an ongoing investigation by Denton County authorities. The arrest of Shujun Sun followed a coordinated law enforcement operation that targeted two local businesses.

The Denton County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that its Human Trafficking Unit, working with the Lewisville Police Department, executed an arrest warrant and three search warrants on September 10. The investigation began in June of this year.

Authorities focused their efforts on Zen Health Therapy Spa and Massage 7 after licensing inspections revealed connections to Sun. Searches were conducted at both massage parlors and at Sun’s residence in Lewisville.

During the searches, investigators seized more than $8,000 in cash along with business records linked to the probe. Sun was taken into custody on a warrant for Trafficking of Persons.

In addition to the arrest, three female Chinese nationals were detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Authorities stated that these individuals are being offered victim services through the local nonprofit Denton County Friends of the Family.

Officers from the Texas Department of Public Safety and ICE assisted with the operation alongside sheriff’s deputies. Further details regarding the specific illicit activities or the status of other potential suspects were not provided in the announcement.
