SMU announced that Oziyah Sellers has enrolled at the school and joined team practices, although the school did not give a timetable for an eligibility decision. The fifth-year guard comes to Dallas after starting 36 games for St. John’s during the 2025-26 season.
Sellers averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists as the Red Storm went 30-7 and captured the Big East championship. He spent the 2024-25 season at Stanford, starting every game and producing 13.7 points per game in the ACC. Earlier, he played two seasons at USC with SMU coach Andy Enfield.
Sellers has made 37.8% of his career three-point shots, including 42.9% during his sophomore season at USC. He has connected on 86.9% of his free-throw attempts. His addition comes before SMU’s third season under Enfield, as the program prepares for 2026-27 with a transfer class ranked No. 21 nationally by On3.
