TCU's 2027 recruiting class now includes 19 players, with North Crowley offensive tackle Gabriel Brooks becoming the latest addition. Brooks announced the change from Stephen F. Austin on social media Sept. 17.
The 6-foot-5, 265-pound lineman said conversations with his family and personal prayer guided the decision. He also said staying close to home was part of the choice. Brooks had mainly received offers from Football Championship Subdivision schools, including Stephen F. Austin and Southern University. TCU is his first Football Bowl Subdivision offer, and Brooks selected the chance to compete in a Power Four conference.
North Crowley began the season 3-0 with victories over Aledo, Southlake Carroll and Summer Creek, which is from the Houston area. The Panthers are set to visit Duncanville at 7 p.m. Friday. TCU's class is ranked No. 54 in the nation and eighth in the Big 12, according to sports.yahoo.com.
