Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that starting linebacker Henry To'oTo'o is expected to miss time because of a shoulder injury suffered against the Bills. To'oTo'o was injured with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter while tackling Buffalo tight end Dawson Knox. He needed assistance to stand, went to the sideline and did not return.
Houston has not decided whether to place To'oTo'o on injured reserve, Ryans said. The Texans drafted him in the fifth round in 2023, and he signed a two-year, $16 million extension in August. ESPN reported the injury update.
The 36 points allowed to Buffalo were the second-most Houston has surrendered during Ryans' tenure. Tampa Bay scored 37 against the Texans in 2023. Houston had not allowed more than 30 points since Baltimore scored 31 on Christmas in 2024.
The Texans' next three games are home against Cincinnati, at Indianapolis and home against Dallas. All three opponents ranked among the NFL's top 12 scoring offenses last season.
